If an adult purchases a motel room, can a minor use it? (:?

My friend and I are planning a vacation to southern california as soon as we turn 16. Our parents agreed to let us go. We are going to Disneyland for a week but we're staying in a motel 6 down the street. If our PARENTS register and reserve the room online, can we then use the room with the reservation papers and stuff although we are only 16???
