I have a question about the movie, Pearl Harbor?

You know there was two boys, and one of them dies at the end which is danny, but he was going to be a father? which means the girl evelyn slept with was danny, and they ahve a kid together? Im confused. Ive watched this movie millions of times, but never got that part, i didnt listen till now. I was crying really bad, i know it would be really hard if that was real. Could you help? thanks!
